Virginia Beach Fishing Report, Virginia Tuna Tournament Winners!

We had a great day of fishing with our charter from Long Island and a great night of celebrating our win! We were on the inside fishing for our "big one" (above 47 inches) and once we decided to keep a big one and put it in the fish box, we had to release 6 more "big blue fin" tunas. Some of which were actually bigger than the one that we had already decided to keep! This had us bumming. We were searching for our smaller (less than 47 inches) one with no luck and started to become a little discouraged. Through that discouragement we came up with a game plan to head further east to find the smaller blue fins. For this tournament you can weigh up to three fish for a combined total. While picking up our lines and heading out to deeper waters we were hopeful that our plan would work. Once we got out there, we got really lucky and hooked up to two yellowfin tunas! After that we headed west tot he docks with the hopes that we were in the lead. Upon getting to the dock, we took the lead and the celebrating began. We were entered in all the calcuttas and had a total winning of $59,000!

There are plenty of fish out and about and we can't wait to get you out there to fish with us!
